Jieun Choi/Bio Info/Tue 11am

I would like to write about Kim Yuna, the figure skater. She was born in the city of Bucheon of South Korea in September 5th, 1990. She discovered her talent as a figure skater in the age of 7. Since then, her life was full of practicing. However, there weren't any qualified ice-rinks because figure skating wasn't a popular sport in Korea. So she had to move around various ice-rinks for practicing. In 2004, she made a debut as a junior figure skater. Also, in 2006, she finally made a debut as a senior figure skater.

Since then, she started to sweep numerous medals and set records. As a junior, she never placed under the 3rd in every competition she participated. When she became senior, she won numerous medals in major competitions such as World Figure Skating Championships, Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. In 2010 Vancouver Olympics, she won a gold medal, setting a new world record at the same time.

While researching about her, I was astonished by numerous medals and records because it was way over than I've known. Also, I was impressed by her strong mind. I would summarize her character as hard worker, a person with a strong willpower and a great achiever.
